On May 1, State Attorney Marilyn Mosby announced that the six officers involved in #FreddieGray’s arrest would face criminal charges. In the press conference, she addressed the protestors and said, “I heard your call for no justice, no peace…. To the youth of this city, I will seek justice on your behalf. This is our moment. This is your moment. Let’s ensure that we have peaceful and productive rallies that will develop structural and systemic changes for generations to come. You’re at the forefront of this cause, and as young people our time is now.”
We pray that God’s justice will prevail, and that the Holy Spirit would be present in #Baltimore and across our nation as we continue to grieve the loss of black lives.
